Tour program
- 1 day Natural and literary treasures of the Urals
- Natural Park “Bazhovskie Places”
The Bazhovsky Places Nature Park is an amazingly picturesque place. This is a specially protected natural area of regional significance. And for good reason! In the silence of pine forests and birch groves, on the shores of mysterious lakes and near ancient rocks, you will experience the unique nature of the Urals. At any time of the year, the Talkov Stone Lake, which looks like a heart from a bird’s eye view, is beautiful.
The park is named after the famous Ural writer, as it is located near Sysert, where Pavel Petrovich Bazhov was born. These places were familiar and dear to him, which was reflected in his work. The time has come to remember the heroes of his tales.- Yeltsin center
Another famous Ural resident is Boris Nikolaevich Yeltsin. Many places in the city are associated with his name. One of them is the first presidential center in the country – the Yeltsin Center. We invite you on a tour of the modern, emotional and exciting Boris Yeltsin Museum.
On the excursion you will learn the path of becoming a great politician from a peasant son to the President of Russia. And you will also feel like a participant in the key events and challenges that our country faced during its formation.
- Day 2 Journey into the past and the art of pottery of the Urals
- Nevyansk leaning tower.
Nevyansk is the capital of the mountain kingdom of the Demidovs, and the leaning tower is a symbol of their power in the Urals and a miracle of technical thought of the 18th century. You will feel it once you are inside. For example, when you go up to the 6th floor into the auditory room, everything you say in a whisper in one corner will be heard by everyone standing in the opposite corner of the room. And on the eighth floor of the tower you will examine in detail the huge mechanism of an old English clock, which, by the way, still works and cost the Demidovs more than the entire tower. The tower still hides many secrets. Why did it bend over? What dark things were going on in her basement? Solve them quickly!
(road to the village of Nizhnie Tavolgi)
For lunch you will go to the Old Believer village of Nizhnie Tavolgi. Hereditary potters Maslikovs invite you to their refectory, and then sit down at an old pottery wheel and make a clay toy as a souvenir.
On the way from Nevyansk to Tavolgi you will see another attraction – one of the oldest surviving churches in the Urals. St. Nicholas Church in Byngi was built in 1797. During the Soviet years, the Orthodox church was not destroyed, so it retained a special atmosphere: the floor is still covered with cast iron slabs from the Demidov plant.- Pottery workshop with master class.
Another ancient Ural village is visited by people from all over the world. This is Nizhnye Tavolgi. In the 18th century, a deposit of high-quality white and red clay was found on the banks of the Neiva River. From that moment on, in two neighboring villages – Upper and Lower Tavolgi – pottery began to develop and be passed on from generation to generation.
We invite you to the center of pottery in the Urals, so that you can sit down at an old pottery wheel and make yourself a souvenir as a keepsake. Handmade products always have a special aura and retain the warmth of the hands of their creator.
